Veterans & Law Enforcement Badge

November 11, 2024

As we honor veterans today, on Veterans Day 2024, we proudly unveil a new Walden Security Veterans & Law Enforcement Badge. It will be seen across all Walden Security channels whenever we highlight the achievements and stories of our veterans and law enforcement team members:

• Emily Bullard – Account Manager from Charleston, SC

Emily Bullard joined Walden Security in December 2024 as an Account Manager. In her role, she manages 70-80 employees spread across 21 government buildings. Before she joined Walden Security, she spent 21 years as a Lieutenant. “I wanted to give back, serve and help keep the community I lived in safe,” explained Emily on why she joined law enforcement. “I wanted to have a job where every day was different, where I could enjoy going to work, and where I could help people who need it the most.”

She held several roles during her 21-year tenure, including Crisis Negotiator, Crime Scene Response, Drug Recognition Expert, School Resource Officer and Bike Patrol Officer. She was also a Field Training Officer, the skills which she uses in her current role, as she assists with the tactical and firearms training at the Charleston Branch.

• Chad Sullivan – Assistant Director, TSD from Chattanooga, TN

Chad served 27 years with the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) and 3 years with the Chattanooga State Community College Police Department. “Law enforcement is a career that requires you to be trained and fit, stay compassionate, and remain mindful of the fact that you are to serve and help those in need,” said Chad.

Chad started his CPD career in the Patrol Division and then the Mounted Patrol Division, where he patrolled downtown Chattanooga on horseback. He then transferred to the Traffic Division, serving as a Traffic Crash Investigator/Reconstructionist and member of the Motorcycle Squad. He was then promoted to the rank of Sergeant and reassigned to the Patrol Division. During that time, he tested for and was selected as a member of the Chattanooga SWAT Team, where he held positions as a Less Lethal Munitions officer, Entry Team and Team Sniper.

• Jason Dilbeck – General Manager from Nashville, Tennessee

Jason served 15 years with the Madera Police Department in Madera, California. He never had a typical day in his tenure, which included work as a Field Training Officer, Gang Liaison Officer, Hostage Negotiator/SWAT Officer, and on the Community Response Unit, where he was sworn in as a U.S. Marshal assisting the Fugitive Apprehension Team. He also was an Instructor in Defensive Tactics, Use Of Force, Advanced Ground Fighting and Less-than-Lethal Tactics, and a Range Master who taught Advanced Tactical Pistol/Shotgun/Rifle, Taser and Active Shooter response.

He followed in his father’s footsteps, joining the police department after serving in the Marine Corps for 6 years. As a Marine, he traveled to over 45 countries and was selected for Marine Security Guard School. Out of 200 in his class, there were 77 graduates, and he ranked 6th.

“I served with the finest Marines in the world,” said Jason. “After the Marines, I was still looking for that Esprit De Corps and Brotherhood we had. No matter how dangerous the situation, knowing your team has your back and would enter hell with you is the strongest bond there is.”
